Here is why I don’t talk about Religion:

People lie. All the time. They do it because they like to. There is no other reason.

People want to be lied to. People believe lies because they like believing lies. There is no other reason.

I write fiction. I do it all the time. I write because I like to. There is no other reason.

People either hate, love, believe, or disbelieve my fiction because they want to. There is no other reason.

When I’m telling the truth, you will know.

Am I telling the truth ?

I write about politics and religion; occasionally I do a little fiction, a little poetry. But nothing seems more strange or fanciful or idiotic than the real world. Even when I write fiction I have to imagine it really happened or it doesn’t work. I think I first met you at misc.writing in the mid-90s, and am just checking back to see what the folks are doing.
