I learned words from the generation before me. Those words were words like depression, recession. Normal stuff like that. The generation coming up behind me is learning words they will carry with them, words like Google, Wikipedia, and megabyte.
My mom doesn’t know what a search engine is, and I rely upon them. I remember when I wouldn’t live on the same street as someone who had a computer. Now I write software. Or, rather, I did. Still hack around a bit.
When I was learning about all of that, computers, software, search engines, I learned it all from a guy named Fravia. He’s sick, and I’m sad. http://www.fravia.com/illness.htm
Where does wisdom go when it dies? I hope it’s someplace nice. Stay well, Fravia. The world will be a sadder, more ugly, evil, and stupid place without you. Godspeed.
