Into the Wild
I had been waiting to go see this.
There is a guy who used to live in the Hotel I live in.
He had been on television at one time, and he has connections, so
he gets free passes to the movies.
The Hotel then passes them out once a month to tenants.
I used my free pass to go see this.
I wanted to like it more than I did. But I liked it just enough.
I don’t usually take in the hype surrounding current events.
I don’t have a television. I don’t read the newspaper. I don’t talk to people.
The shit I do on the internet usually involves writing of one sort or another, porn, or the website for the construction company I’m working with.
But I’d heard about Into the Wild.
After the hype. After the expectations, it’s a story of
a real person.
It’s a fitting tribute, and I was moved.
