As a native San Franciscan I must shamefully confess that I gave up on the Giants many years ago, surrendering my loyalty to the Dodgers, who find new ways every season to make it to the divisional playoffs and then choke.
Dude.

Christmas is mixed for me but I have no hard memories to bring it down. It just focuses another year's worth of a certain kind of failure, and the stupid traps of sentimentality. It's my wife who has memories more like yours.

I was just gonna say Go Giants. I'm a lifelong fan too, win or lose. Didn't know we had that. Hey, I saw Mays and Mac play once, back in the 60s. Barely remember it, of course.
