Lisbeth Salander

Seems hard to believe, somehow, that not that long ago people used to keep in touch via blogs. Or some other form of writing. Now there’s the new and improved way of staying in touch: facebook.

Meh. It was nice while MySpace lasted, too. I’m just wondering how many times I’ll be fooled by Social Networking. Not being a real social animal, in any event, I lack the ambition to publicize myself on facebook.

I miss writing. Writing to my friends, via letters sent in the post, and via email. And writing to myself each night before I go to bed.

I’ve finished reading The Millennium Trilogy,  ”The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo”, “The Girl Who Played With Fire”, and “The Girl Who Kicked the Hornets’ Nest, by  Stieg Larsson – The man who died too soon. Read the books, and you’ll get the reference.

Salander kicks some serious balls, and I loved her in the book. Really well drawn character. The movies have been alright. And the books I’ll always remember, like I remember the Harry Potter books, or  The Red Riding Trilogy.

I’m not so sure about the American remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, although the music will certainly rawk. But how much is music a part of the story? Not much. Making me wonder how well the movie is done if they need a killer sound track. Look at No Country For Old Men. No sound track.

So. A web log entry. See you at facebook, I suppose.
