Peace and Plenty

I used to have a placard that said Peace and Plenty, which hung in my living room. I liked it because it reflected who I am to myself in the world. Peaceful, and with plenty. Anything extra would be clutter.

Most days I don’t want for anything. Oh, I suppose I long for things, or pine for them, and then I have a short and wistful daydream about what it would be like to have a thousand a week coming in, or wutever …then I set the timer for 25 minutes and get back to my next task.
