The best things in life are free.

To kind of celebrate the release of the .flac (lossless format) version of the PILOT episode of NCN's ongoing collage series 'Needle in the Red' (now down-loadable, you can find them for free on alt.multimedia.slack for you usenet types)... NCN is presenting a somewhat annotated version of the pilot episode for the Needle in the Red series featuring the voice of Father Luke included therein.

Broadcast originally on KFJC on January 25th, 2003, from the very early 'classic' days of NCN, featuring the original lineup and with **actual Silicon Valley voicemail community recordings from the 80's and 90's** wiiiith.... Father Luke, Joe Sledgehammer, Ronald Redball, Al Newport, Angel D. Monique, and others, as well as weird original music and strange collages.

3 Hours on Sunday Night. Go to for full information and listen links (which will only work at showtime shortly before 10pm EST)

The Father Luke (and other 'voicejailers') portion will appear a little over an hour in, and after that point, peppered throughout.

Father Luke: "Hello... hello... what is the meaning of this...?"

By the way? I had some clown come here and toot about how I must be making money, by the hand fulls, now that I have a subscription site, and I have so many subscribers. Each of the subscribers I currently have, and this is being written June 19th, 2010, are gifted. That is to say I have given gifts to each of the subscribers you currently see. Including the clown -- the one laughing about how much money I was making.

Just because I'm guarding the people who have invested in me, doesn't mean I am currently making any money. It just means I have protected the people who have money invested in me. None of whom currently give a shit about reading my stuff. I know this because they haven't been here.

Including the clown.

In 2010 I have been awarded $100 in food stamps, something called an EBT card,
which is used like a credit card, worth up to, in my case, $100.

So, this year I am looking at this kind of income:

$100 - Food Stamps
x12 - Months in the year

I get paid $900 by the State of Oregon to take care of children

$900 - Monthly pay
x12 - Months in the year

$12,000 - Projected income for 2010

Since I get paid directly from the State, I have to pay my own taxes, etc.
I talked to a tax guy, and he advised taking out about a hundred fifty each check...

12     - Months in the year
-$150     - Recommended taxes for each month

$12,000 - Projected earned income for 2010
- $1,800 - Projected taxes               for 2010
$10,2000- Projected total income    for 2010

You should really be making more money but so should I.

Not too many years ago it seemed like I would always make 6 figures but now $40,000 seems like wealth. Well, Obama will fix that by making us feel grateful for $20,000. Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to sound like a racist since that's what they say now when you complain about our president. Of course that's not a complaint because he will makes us feel better.
Last year the richest man in the world was a Mexican who made $52,000,000,000. and he is in the cell phone business and money transfer business. I bet he has a hand in the hat and boot business as well.
