The principle is simple. Smoke causes cancer. Nicotine is addictive. Nicotine does not cause cancer. Deliver a smoking cigarette which does not cause cancer.

LOGOS Books and records is arguably the finest bookstore in Santa Cruz, California. Arguably because there is also Bookshop Santa Cruz. For all my new books, I go to Bookshop Santa Cruz. For all my used books, I go to LOGOS.

And sometimes they come to me.

I live in Fresno now, and until I make my move to the Northeast, shopping for books will have to wait until I get closer to Powell’s books. And shopping at either Bookshop Santa Cruz, or buying used books at LOGOS is rather out of the question.

Wait. Did he say sometimes the books come to him? WTF?

Honestly I don’t know. On my doorstep tonight, when I got in from College, I found a paper bag full of books on teaching writing. On the bag was written Father Luke. The bag had LOGOS printed on the bottom in felt pen. I have no clue as to who left it. I love a mystery.
