Ass Hats and Data Caps

ISPs Push for Data Caps While Profits Soar, Costs Decline.

From the article:

ISPs are being intellectually dishonest when they say that those who use more should pay. I think that what ISPs are really trying to do is to maximize profits on Internet service while they can. As more people switch to watching content online, it may be an even tougher sell down the road to implement data caps.

Stay tuned.

Oh dear.

He’s still at it.

James Inman is an American Treasure. I’ve said it before

He’s still at it, going strong… raging, raging . . .

May God bless James Inman.

a “cunt” and a “trollop”

The Raw Story ran an excerpt that quotes McCain as calling his wife a “cunt” and a “trollop” after she made fun of his thinning hair.

Three reporters from Arizona, on the condition of anonymity, also let me in on another incident involving McCain’s intemperateness. In his 1992 Senate bid, McCain was joined on the campaign trail by his wife, Cindy, as well as campaign aide Doug Cole and consultant Wes Gullett. At one point, Cindy playfully twirled McCain’s hair and said, "You’re getting a little thin up there." McCain’s face reddened, and he responded, "At least I don’t plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you cunt." McCain’s excuse was that it had been a long day. If elected president of the United States, McCain would have many long days.

Oh. Am I muck raking? Gee. Sorry.

I’m glad he’s not my President. But of course the cunt is still serving in the Senate.

I’m sure I’ll be too late to propose to her.
But I will enjoy her along with the rest of us.

A new hero for us all:

deus ex machina

I’m not often excited by what
comes out of the small press.
Occasionally, yes, but not always.

I’m happy to be excited by the
arrival of this book by chris, and
Hosho. And the cover art done by
Chris Roberts amplifies the magic
between these two fine writers.

Add to that the hardback is being bound at
Bottle of Smoke Press,
being published by Orange Alert Press
(Jason Beherends out of Chicago),
and crafted by 10pt Press, and I think
the small press is deserving of high praise.

I’m glad I bought my copy, and I
can’t wait to receive it.
